Fans of Emmerdale will know that in last night’s visit to the village, woman scorned Katie Macey (Sammy Winward) slept with sexy farmhand Adam Barton (Adam Thomas) with the sole intention of getting revenge on her now very much estranged husband Declan, who of course had a one night stand with Charity Sharma (Emma Atkins) earlier this year.
However, Katie’s ‘screw you’ gesture lost some of its appeal when Declan (Jason Merrells) accused her of “whoring” herself out in a bid to make him jealous, and Adam was left humiliated when he realised he’d been a mere pawn in the couple’s mind games…
So next week, Katie has some ground to make up with Adam – and with her ex Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) who was unimpressed with her antics, given that they took place in his house – but Declan meanwhile seems intent on moving on.
And that process begins with the grand launch of his glamping site, for which local press and assorted dignitaries gather at Home Farm to be wined and dined by Declan and Megan (Gaynor Faye).
However, there are a couple of ladies who catch Declan’s eye…
Is he simply point-scoring, just as Katie was when she slept with Adam? Or has he truly moved on already?
