Fans of Emmerdale will of course know that after Cameron Murray (Dominic Power) killed farmhand Alex Moss, he buried the body in woodland on the Home Farm estate…
However, after Declan Macey (Jason Merrells) ordered the land to be redeveloped so he could set up his glamping site, a panicked Cameron had to dig the corpse up and relocate it. But he didn’t do a very good job of it as – earlier this year – workmen found the remains.
But of course, fearing his entire business would be on the line if police halted progress on the glamping and festival site, Declan bribed the workmen to rebury their gruesome discovery, and carry on with their work.
And sure enough, they did just that, but Declan told his now estranged wife Katie (Sammy Winward) about the discovery of the body, and she – having acrimoniously split from Declan – put in an anonymous call to police to tell them about the corpse.
She’s now left the village indefinitely, leaving Declan to take the fall, which he’s about to do when he’s arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice!
That drama airs on Thursday 22 August in the first of that night’s double-bill of episodes, but for now, here’s a sneak peek…
